Birkhill Castle

Birkhill Castle is a luxury, fully exclusive castle situated just 1 hour from Edinburgh airport and 20 mins from St’ Andrews. There are 1500 acres of private estate to explore with paths joining onto the Fife Coastal Path straight from the door.

We can sleep 30 adults + 6 children across 13 doubles, 2 singles, 1 twin and a nursery. There is a library, drawing room, ballroom (seats 50), dining room (seats 22), kitchen (seats 30), chef kitchen (commercial grade), billiards room, gym, cinema room, driving range, outdoor heated pool, walled garden, pebble beach, private forest trails, tennis court, courtyard, and BBQ areas to enjoy.

BORTHWICK CASTLE

A majestic and historic Scottish castle to hire, built in 1430. 30 minutes from Edinburgh, by day, guests can visit the city, returning to the luxury and serenity of the castle in the evening. It is one of the finest and best preserved 15th Century keeps in Scotland. The 600 year history that goes with the castle starts with Sir William de Borthwick who built it. Gordon Castle, Speyside is beautifully positioned within a 500 acre highland sporting estate in Speyside. Owned by the same family since the 15th Century, it was transformed during the 18th Century, by the 4th Duke of Gordon into a grand baronial Scottish mansion. Although now slightly more modest in size, it offers delightful accommodation in exceptional comfort and is one of the finest Scottish castles available to rent. INVERARAY CASTLE

Inveraray Castle & Gardens is the perfect base from which to enjoy the west of Scotland. An imposing, turreted building, the Castle has been home to the Dukes of Argyll and seat of the Clan Campbell since the 1700s and sits on the edge of Loch Fyne, surrounded by the majestic West Highlands. The castle was inspired by Vanbrugh and includes a vast array of arms of display; original hand-painted ceilings, tapestries and furniture; portraits tracing the family in their role as key players in British history; as well as the formal gardens famous for their rhododendrons and azaleas.

How do I begin to thank Stuart for the most amazing few days we had on our trip to Scotland? I was traveling with my teen daughter from Edinburgh to St Andrews and Stuart arrived in a gorgeous Mercedes and shared with us the history of our surroundings on our trip and took us directly through the golf course-he knew everything about the area and was able to highlight special places. On our first day, he was gentle and thoughtful to suggest everything that would create a perfect drive and day together. We had planned to go to Highlands and in planning our trip I spoke to Stuart about driving us there and back instead of hiring my own car (he was super patient with all of my questions when I called from the USA and gave me wonderful advice so I also booked Stuart to take us to and from the Highlands-best decision ever!) . My friends decided to come last minute to visit us and Stuart completely accommodated the four of us-two teens and two Moms-on our special road trip to the West Coast. We could not have found the beautiful places he suggested on our own-he called for us to have reservations for beautiful lunch spots—and we all became family. My friend Martha is incredibly curious and wanted to glean all she could from Stuart for future travel so he not only drove us safely and professionally in another beautiful Mercedes van, but shared all of the history and stories of Scotland along with some new places that we should visit.Stuart, thank you again for an amazing trip and wonderful service to us. Service exceeded my expectations. I made a mistake in the initial reservation but Stuart handled it with no fuss and rescheduled without issue the day before I was expected to arrive. Beat my expectations by 1000%!!! I can't enough wonderful things about EOSCS and their team. Stuart was 30 minutes early to make sure that he had time to call us and let us know that he was ready when we were ready. East of Scotland Chauffeur Services made a dream vacation with my 2 daughters amazing. Adrian was our guide and chauffeur for 5 days from Glasgow thru Isle of Skye to Endinburgh. He was even able to find the apartment where my mother was born in Glasgow with the address I had. He was very professional and knowledgeable about the places we visited and Scottish history. He was patient and funny when my daughters found places to visit off the beaten path.... that in itself was an adventure. We never felt rushed at any time. Adrian was wonderful and seemed like part of the family by the time we had to say good-bye.

My family and I hired Stuart and his company to take us around the northern part of Scotland. He was absoultey amazing and took such good care of us. Loved the time we spent with Stuart, he has a wonderful command of history and will take you to the places you need to see, not what you want to see. Trust him, and you will have a wonderful experience. My only regret is that we found EOSCS just before our trip. I wish we had use them to plan more of our vacation. Stuart picked us up Saturday morning and drove us to Balmaha on Loch Lomond. He also drove us back into the Edinburgh on Monday. We soon learned that he is more than a chauffeur, he has an amazing depth and breadth of knowldege and helps you put all the sights into the right perspective. We also spent a wonderful day touring with Stuart through the Highlands. Spectacular! Having somebody do the driving gives you the ability to take in the amazing landscape. Stuart knows the little areas off the beaten path and points out the subtle things your eyes will miss.Can’t say enough about our experience. After awhile you fell like you are talking to an old friend. Highly recommended to help maximize you trip to Scotland.

We booked with East of Scotland Chauffeur Services for a all-day Outlander tour and Stuart was amazing! The personalized feel was wonderful and we felt like VIP's. It also felt like he was a member of the family by the end of the tour with amazing stories.Additionally, he provided a wealth of historical information along on route that was not just limited to Outlander filming sites. He knew just about everything we inquired about.The Mercedes S class was beautiful and the exec package in the rear made it even better. We could have slept for hours in those seats. The inside looked brand new as well. In all it was a wonderful experience and well worth the price. We look forward to using Stuart in the future!
